I'm a studio bass player in Nashville.  Some of my recording credits: Brooks & Dunn, Little Richard, Kellie Pickler, Jason Michael Carroll, Steve Holy, Peter Frampton, Danielle Peck, Jessica Simpson, Ty Herndon, Olivia Newton-John, Cliff Richard, Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins, Cyndi Thomson, Marty Stuart, Cletus T. Judd, Jim Lauderdale, and Robbie Fulks.

Here's a good tip:  You can go to www.allmusic.com and type in my name (or any player's name), and you'll see nearly every album credit.  (How do they know about all that stuff?)

My touring credits include full tours with Rodney Crowell, Patty Loveless, Shawn Colvin, and Olivia Newton-John.  I've played a few shows recently with Vince Gill and Amy Grant, which has been a very special opportunity for me, having admired them both for a long time.  In the past few years I've also played various shows with Wynonna Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, and Kim Carnes, among others. 

I'm nominated for Bass Player of the Year at the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards. It's my fourth nomination....no wins yet, though -- the competition is strong (and highly deserving!)

I recently got to work with Peter Frampton in the studio.  Here's a photo of us charting out a new song Peter wrote with Trey Bruce.

In 2003 Kate Markowitz's and I produced her cd, "Map of the World." Kate has been touring with James Taylor and singing on his records since the early 1990's, and she has toured extensively with Shawn Colvin and k.d. lang.  http://www.katemarkowitz.com

I play live around town with two bands once or twice a month at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville.  I'm in a killer band with Pat Buchanan, Greg Morrow, and Tom Bukovac.  Some great players there!  It's mostly Pat's songs, with a few good covers thrown in for spice. 

I also am lucky enough to play with  Fab - a really great Beatles cover band that knows a ton of songs.  I love getting to play Paul's parts.   www.myspace.com/werfab.   

In July of 2001 I flew to L.A. to take lessons from legendary studio bass player Carol Kaye. The lessons spanned a full weekend and were fun, informative, and inspiring. Carol is a great player and teacher, and she has a wealth of good stories to tell!
